OVEN-ROASTED CHICKEN SHAWARMA

This easy Chicken Shawarma is roasted in the oven and full of our favorite Middle Eastern spices!  Serve the chicken shawarma as a pita wrap or in a salad or rice bowls!

Ingredients:

– 2 teaspoons cumin – 2 teaspoons paprika – 1 teaspoon allspice – 1 teaspoon garlic powder – 1 teaspoon onion powder – 1 teaspoon ground turmeric – ½ teaspoon salt – ¼ teaspoon ground cinnamon – ¼ teaspoon black pepper – ⅛ teaspoon cayenne pepper – 2 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil – 3 lb boneless, skinless chicken thigh fillets, trimmed

This dish is so easy to make because the chicken is roasted in the oven and then finished off with a quick broil after sliced

GENERAL STEPS

Combine all spices into a mixing bowl, then mix in olive oil. Add the chicken and toss to evenly coat. Refrigerate at least 4 hours to allow flavors to blend. (I like to prepare mine the night before) Roast the chicken on a foil-lined baking sheet.

Slice the roasted chicken then broil the sliced chicken.
