Milk •Salt •Unsalted Butter •Instant yeast •Eggs •Flour •Sugar •Sprinkles

How to Make Easter Bread

Mix ingredients

In a large bowl, combine yeast, milk, salt, butter, eggs, sugar and some flour. On low speed, add rest of flour until a dough forms.

Knead

Knead until dough is smooth.  Add more flour as needed, until tacky.

Let Dough Rise

Transfer to oiled bowl, cover and let rise for 1 hour.

Form Wreaths

Divide dough into 12 equal pieces and roll into 14-inch ropes. Twist two ropes to form a "braid" then join ends to form six wreaths.

Second Rise

Place wreaths on baking sheet. Cover with towel and let rise 1 more hour.

Egg Wash

Brush with egg wash. Decorate with sprinkles. Place dyed raw egg in center of each nest.

Bake

Bake at 350°F for 20 to 25 minutes.
