How to Make Easter Bread

1

Mix ingredients

In a large bowl, combine yeast, milk, salt, butter, eggs, sugar and some flour. On low speed, add rest of flour until a dough forms.

2

Knead

Knead until dough is smooth.  Add more flour as needed, until tacky.

3

Let Dough Rise

Transfer to oiled bowl, cover and let rise for 1 hour.

4

Form Wreaths

Divide dough into 12 equal pieces and roll into 14-inch ropes. Twist two ropes to form a "braid" then join ends to form six wreaths.

5

Second Rise

Place wreaths on baking sheet. Cover with towel and let rise 1 more hour.

6

Egg Wash

Brush with egg wash. Decorate with sprinkles. Place dyed raw egg in center of each nest.

7

Bake

Bake at 350°F for 20 to 25 minutes.

"They were outstanding and I got nothing but compliments about the bread."  -Marietta "The dough was very easy to work with. But I just love the flavor, texture and appearance."  -Ann
