It's the weekend! Yay! Any big plans? We'll be doing some more house projects, church tonight, and also hanging out a lot outside to enjoy the gorgeous warm weather we're having!
Look at that little jokester of mine up there. As tedious as it can be to take a toddler boy shopping with you, it can also be amusing at times. 🙂
Anyway, here's what we did this week, besides shop:
This Week On Seeded at the Table:
This section highlights the recipes posted recently on Seeded at the Table and other updates to the blog, if any.
I'm sure you have heard the news that the beloved Google Reader is going away. If you use Google Reader to keep track of my blog updates, you will want to start exploring other options, because as of July 1st, it will be shut down. Here are some helpful articles from other bloggers regarding the subject:

Enough on that! Let's talk about this week's recipes!
Grilled Cheese Panini on Pretzel Bread - Grilled cheese sandwiches in their champion form - on pretzel bread.
Nutella Peanut Butter Chewies - Crispy. Chewy. Melt-in-your mouth "cookies".
Loving Lately:
Here I will share with you my favorite things of late, along with other snippets that have caught my eye from some of my favorite blogs and websites.
Owl Mouse Pad - I received this mouse pad in the mail last week after purchasing it from Etsy shop, In HIS Name, and I absolutely LOVE it. For only $2.00 extra, I was able to add on a matching coaster. So, my work area at home is a little more colorful and a little more fun now! I love that it is a round mouse pad, but it also comes in rectangle if you prefer.
Maybelline Instant Age Rewind Concealer (in Brightener shade) - This concealer has saved my face in the last year I've been using it. Seriously. The dark circles under my eyes disappear and using the brightener shade really seems to puff the skin under my eyes for a fuller, more awake, look. All I need to do in the mornings now is apply this under my eyes, quickly brush on some powdered bronzer, apply my eye liner, eye shadow and mascara and I'm good to go for the day!
Magnetic Ironing Mat - Has anyone ever tried this? I hate having an ironing board. On top of taking up space to store it, it makes the most annoying screeching sound in the world when opening it (we all know that noise). Plus, we really don't iron our clothes anymore, but it is nice to have it available for when we need it or when hosting guests. I feel like this mat would be a great alternative! Any thoughts?
My Life as a Professor's Wife, Mom, Christian and Food Blogger:
Want more insight into my life as a Professor’s wife, mom, Christian, friend, relative and food blogger? Then, read on! If not, ignore this section. 🙂 This is a place for me to write what is on my mind and journal some of the crowning moments of my week.
My parents bought Judah this Melissa & Doug art easel for his 2nd birthday, but since we moved shortly after receiving it in the mail and then didn't have room for it during our one-year stint in campus housing, we finally just now put it together and have it in our house. I love it! But, more importantly, Judah loves it! He wants to paint every day. This week, I worked with him on painting the letters of his name. He added a few extra letters in there (like "M") but it was fun to see his own interpretation of each letter to his name. The "D" cracked me up, but he did really well with the letter "H"! 😉
Ben's finger is finally healed to the point where he's back to working on house projects, pretty much full time (aside from his real full time job). ha! He loves working with his hands, so after he sliced a crater in his pinky and was out of commission for a couple of weeks, I could tell he was ready to get back! It is crazy how productive this guy is! He painted our garage, built a workshop in one corner, finished Judah's loft bed, painted it, painted Judah's wall, painted the nursery, put together the crib, hung the nursery curtains, power-washed the patio and front porch, built me another faux table top prop, and more! He's also taken his turn watching Judah for me so I can get my own work done. Seriously, this man is a keeper, ladies! And, he's all mine! 😉 Today? He is building book shelves for Judah's room. Really, he does it all! I'm so thankful for him!
The biggest highlight of the week for our family was that it was spring break for Ben, so we had the opportunity to take a couple of days to drive up to Nashville, TN and see some of my best friends from college. Nashville is one of my favorite cities so any chance we get to drive the 6 hours and visit, we do it! We also ate at a few places there that are totally worth mentioning on the blog, but we'll wait for a separate post. AND... my BFF took some awesome maternity/family photos for us! I can't wait to get the edited photos from her! woot woot!
Enjoy your weekend!
