We recently visited the LEGOLAND Florida Resort in Winter Haven, FL. Not far from other Orlando attractions, this amusement park is one you must add on to your Florida vacation! Thank you to LEGOLAND Florida Resort for providing the hotel stay and park admission.
The newer LEGOLAND Resort hotel was such a fun place for our family to stay with pajama dance parties for the kids and a resort pool where you swim and build with gigantic LEGO blocks.
LEGO characters roamed the hotel and park with ample meet and greet (aka photo) opportunities! My entire family had a blast. Click or scroll for a photographic tour of our awesome adventure!
We were met at the LEGOLAND hotel with a friendly smile and welcoming LEGO characters. Our room reservation was on the Kingdom floor where we felt like royalty and searched for treasure! The room was divided so the kids had their own sleeping area with their own television. All parents know how priceless that is!
The boys loved the treasure hunt they had to complete in order to open the treasure chest that had surprises complements of the hotel.
We immediately changed into our swimsuits and hit the amazing resort pool. There were gigantic LEGO blocks floating in the pool that we could use to build our own large LEGO creations.
After swimming, we retreated to the hotel's Skyline Lounge for dinner and refreshed with a fun mocktail drink.
Then it was time for the 8:00PM pajama dance party! This was my kids (and mine!) favorite part of the hotel. The dance party each night was SO fun! Great music and entertainment!
After a very comfortable evening of sleep, we enjoyed the hotel's complimentary breakfast buffet. SO yummy! There were tons of options! The dining room was a bright and exciting environment, too!
It was finally time to hit the park and ride some rides!! Because we were staying at the LEGOLAND hotel, we were able to get into the park earlier than others.
The rides were SO fun! We had to limit ourselves to the younger kid rides, but there were a few coasters there I would love to ride on next time when our kiddos are a little older. Even-so, I felt like the rides we were able to experience were worth the trip.
One of my favorite areas of the park were the mini cities built with LEGO pieces. From Vegas to New York to Los Angeles, D.C. and more! The boys even raced LEGO cars at the LEGO mini raceway!
Name that city! (below)
Do not miss the 4D LEGO movie! If you're there during a hot day, it's a great escape from the heat into a nice air-conditioned room. BUT, it's also a fun piece of entertainment for the whole family. I won't say much more to not spoil it, so just make sure you go! And, get a photo with the characters on the red carpet afterwards.
After lunch, we cooled off with a Fun Town Slushie then walked back to the hotel to rest an hour before heading out to the waterpark.
We only had about 1 hour in the waterpark area because as we re-entered the park and walked farther back, we realized we missed some rides. So, we hit those up before the waterpark and by then there was only an hour left. I have to say, next time I would want one full day just at the regular park then a second full day at the waterpark. Although we were rushed, it was a fun hour of water enjoyment! We loved floating on the lazy river in intertubes (unfortunately I have no photos of it!).
That evening, we ate dinner at the resort buffet. Judah was really looking forward to the individual Jello desserts that he saw on a kids' YouTube video of LEGOLAND hotel. I think he talked about the Jello dessert more than anything! ha!
After dinner, we danced again at the LEGOLAND pajama dance party and then retreated back to our room to head out in the morning. We loved LEGOLAND and our boys keep asking to return. Have you been to LEGOLAND Florida Resort yet?
