Time to move on from only a bottle or nursing, and thinking about making homemade baby food? Sounds intimidating, doesn't it? What if I said vegetable puree instead? Does that sound just as scary? Probably not. And, guess what? If you have that down, you also have homemade baby food down.
On the other hand, I know some of you out there are also intimidated by purees and maybe just home cooking altogether. This is why I am posting my adventures in homemade baby food. My hope is that if you have a desire to make your baby's food in order to save some money and have a better handle on what is going into that precious little tummy, that my (just another new mom's) experiences will help educate you and instill some confidence. Because trust me, if I can do it, you definitely can do it, too!
In no way am I declaring to be an expert on making baby food. Ha, I chuckle at the sound of that! 🙂 My goal here is to share the recipes I've chosen to make and to dish out the stories of Judah's reactions pertaining to his likes and dislikes. Remember, all babies have different tastes, so just because my little chub scarfed it down, doesn't necessarily mean yours will as well. And, if not, give it a few days then try again! You'll be surprised sometimes at the difference in your baby's reaction the next time around. But, please, if they just never like a certain food each time you try it, don't force it on them.
In the next coming days, weeks and possibly months, I'll be posting recipes, recommendations, tips, etc. If you are following me in this very fun time of my life and have certain questions and hesitations about making baby food, feel free to leave a comment and I'll let you know if it's something I've encountered or have a suggestion to share. But, again, I'm not declaring to be a pro at this, so I will not have all the answers. (Shoot me if I ever declare that I do!)
And that's my intro.
