Read on to take another peek into our home, and how I decorated a new piece of Sauder furniture.
Hey guys! I haven't published a "Home Tour" post for you in a while. In fact, I think it's been since fall of last year when I showed you our 3-in-1 bonus room!
Today, I am giving you a peek into a corner of our living room where our new accent chair sits. Sauder sent us their Nico Accent Chair back in February and challenged me to use my own affordable style to decorate the space around my chair.
Even as one of their most popular furniture pieces, anyone can make the chair unique with their touch of style. This chair definitely stands out on its own from it's printed linen upholstery. I usually keep things simple when it comes to decorating. Here, I kept it very simple so that the pattern would still show, yet added a little more texture with the crisp white knitted blanket.
Behind the chair I hung a mirror and then placed some greenery around to add a little more color. Our walls are also gray, like the chair, so we needed it.
The chair seat is wide, which makes it comfortable to sit "criss-cross-applesauce," as my son would describe. It stays sturdy with two feet on the rug, but is light enough to quickly move out of the way when needed.
The quality of this chair is great, and we have enjoyed it as not only decoration but as a comfortable place to sit and read, or sit and watch the kids dance around. Depends on the night... 🙂
How would you style this chair? Take a look at the Sauder lookbook to see how other bloggers styled this exact same piece of furniture to make it their own.
