A monthly report of my favorite Amazon purchases. This month we are featuring Ben's new book, a few home and fashion items and a surprising tool to make the EASIEST balloon banners!
It doesn't feel like Friday! My family woke up this morning thinking it was Wednesday. It was such a busy week that every day just flew by without us catching up. So here I am on Friday morning, trying to put together my favorite Amazon finds from this last month. It's hard to narrow them down!
Last month, I quickly linked to my favorite pair of joggers. I am not lying when I tell you that I wear these puppies MULTIPLE times a week! If you haven't grabbed your pair yet, I suggest you do it now. I'm so obsessed with joggers that in preparation for spring, I might grab these cropped joggers in various colors before they sell out.
I also shared my large tote that I continue to use every single day and fit everything I need in it, while keeping it all in place with this handy purse organizer.
Today, I'm excited to share a few very random items that I've loved lately. Last month, we had a Valentine's theme. There is definitely no theme for today's post, except that it is all fabulous.
I’m an Amazon affiliate so any qualifying purchase you make from my links will earn me a small commission. But, your price is NO different than if you found the item yourself. I promise!
The Story Retold
Let's start with Ben's book, "The Story Retold," because it's been the focus of our lives the last few weeks... or dare I say last TEN years? 🙂 Yes, 10 years ago Ben pitched this textbook idea to the publisher and he faithfully worked on it over the years, with his mentor Dr. Beale, sticking to his deadlines to finish this precious piece of work. We are thrilled that it is now published and available at various bookstores and also for purchase on Amazon.
Although it is written as a textbook, this book is also accessible for anyone who'd like to have additional help with their daily Bible reading for interpreting how the New Testament and Old Testament scriptures relate. I've been using it alongside my mom group study through Nancy Guthrie's "Hoping for Something Better" -- a study of the book of Hebrews.

Balloon Tape
Last Sunday, we held a book release party for Ben's book in our home with our Sunday school friends. For the party, I made a balloon banner! If you follow me on Instagram, you saw I learned about a cheap tool to easily make these beautiful balloon banners. It's called balloon tape. No, it's not sticky. It's simply a plastic strip with holes. You blow up the balloons, tie them, then slip the end of the balloon into the hole and it holds the balloons in place. It's seriously the easiest thing ever, and look how pretty and elegant it looks!

The first time I made one was a couple of months ago at my kids' school for one of their teacher's birthday. Her birthday was in January and the balloon banner lasted for weeks! The balloon banner I made for Ben's party is still hanging in my house. I can't bring myself to take it down because it's just so beautiful.
I bought the single hole tape and was able to make 3 balloon banners out of this one package of tape (2 rolls). It definitely depends on how large you make your banner, but you could make 4 banners! It took me less than an hour to make one.
Earrings
Last fall, I found tortoise shell hoop earrings on Amazon that I wore all the time. (Looks like they are no longer available, but here are similar ones.) They gave me a newfound love for hoop earrings.

PAVI "Diamond" Hug Earrings
The tortoise earrings are still in great shape, but I wanted to find more hoop earrings to go with different styles and could dress up an outfit or be casual. Y'all, I am in love with THESE darling "diamond" earrings!
I don't know much about diamonds, but these earrings appear expensive yet are LESS THAN $15! I.love.them. I bought the silver but next paycheck I am getting the gold, too! I've worn them already so many times and they go with just about everything -- casual and dressy!
Cozy Knit Sweater
Next in the fashion category is this sweater I linked to last month as a quick teaser but didn't show you a photo. I bought this pullover for family photos in December, but it quickly became a favorite everyday sweater because it is so soft and comfy! It is also PERFECT with my favorite leggings (also in the picture).

I love the cut on the sides that gives the sweater more shape. It can be dressed up with a necklace or scarf, or a simple casual sweater and even light enough to wear under a vest. There are a few other colors to choose from, too. You will LOVE this light sweater as we transition into the spring.
Favorite Leggings
In my photo of the sweater, you can see my favorite leggings (I also own a pair of these in cropped) and my favorite slip-on shoes. The leggings come HIGHLY recommended! They have tummy control and a thicker material so not see-through at all. I wear these more than I wear my favorite joggers, and actually have them on right now.

Favorite Slip-on Shoes
These slip-on shoes are EVERYTHING. Light weight, COMFY, no socks required (although I typically wear no-show socks) and available in many colors. I only own the black right now, but someday I want to get other colors (maybe white for summer?)
I've run around in these shoes almost every day since I bought them last fall. I sized down a half size for these black ones, but after reading the reviews every color sizes differently -- so be aware and do your research. Little risk, though, since returns are free and easy!
Dish Towels
The first month of my Amazon favorites posts, I raved about my favorite kitchen towels for drying my dishes and/or hands. They are STILL my absolute favorite and Ben even mentions how much he likes them about once a week. HA! Well, since then, I decided I also wanted to refresh my dish towels for washing dishes!
I found these dish towels that have proved to be wonderful. They are just the right size and the right amount of grip that does the heavy duty work of cleaning the gunk of my dishes yet doesn't scratch the material. I highly recommend them!
Digital Alarm Clock
Last for today, because I'm running out of time (no pun intended), is this alarm clock. How many of you are tired of relying on your phone to see what time it is during the night? I hate having to reach over to pick up my phone and then get blinded from the brightness in order to see the time. Finally, I gave in and ordered an alarm clock for our dresser so I can just open my eyes and see the time from where I'm lying. Haha!

It sounds ridiculous, but I took forever to research which one to buy. It had to be cheap, yet not look cheap. I wanted it to have an adjustable dimmer and big enough numbers to see from a distance. I landed on this small LED digital alarm clock. It's small, but big enough to see. It's modern, yet classic. It plugs into a regular outlet or USB, but can also run on battery. It's portable, so I can take it on our trips. My sleep is better now because I am not blinded from my phone!
That's it for today! Y'all, I definitely could share more favorites if I had more time. Please check back next month!
