– ½ cup (8 tablespoons) unsalted butter, room temperature
– ¾ cup sugar
– ½ cup packed dark brown sugar
– 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
– 1 cup all-purpose flour
– ¾ cup Dutch processed cocoa powder
– ½ teaspoon baking soda
– ¼ teaspoon salt
– ¼ cup milk
Cream together the butter, sugars and vanilla until light and fluffy. Whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, baking soda and salt. Combine the dry ingredients to the butter mixture and stir until incorporated. Pour in the milk and mix until just combined. Refrigerate dough for at least 1 hour.
