Throw together the easiest snack mix for your game day party! This Football Party Snack Mix is a simple combination of sweet and salty snacks using football shaped pretzels! Or, use tiny twist pretzels for any occasion!
Okay, everyone. Stop reading this post and run to the store to grab these football shaped pretzels THEN come back and finish reading this. Because if you do not go out to grab them now, you might miss them. I seem to miss them every year, and FINALLY I got my grubby little hands on them! 🙂
You can definitely make this football party snack mix with regular tiny twist pretzels, but when it's game day we love to step it up and use the football shaped pretzels. But, yes, this snack is good for any party!
This comes together in as quickly as counting to three! Measure the ingredients, or don't. Vary it up by adding your favorite sweet or salty snacks. Can't find a certain ingredient in the store? No problem, easily substitute it for something else! Caramel corn, peanut M&M's, bugles, honey roasted peanuts, etc. They all work in this party snack mix!
We are always so excited for the football season. My boys play flag football during the fall. They both think they're going to be professional NFL players when they grow up, but they also know we're not allowing them to play tackle football. Go figure. I'm trying to think of ways to encourage them to be involved with football without the concussion inducing head trauma part of it.
Maybe they can be kickers for the team... 😉
Even if the only tackle games my kids play are in our front yard with the neighbor kids, our family spends the weekends with football games on the television and game day snacks in our mouths! Red Zone is our jam on Sundays, with some yummy barbecue from our local Tay's for lunch after church. This snack mix gets into the regular routine when friends join us (because we really shouldn't eat it all ourselves, right)?
