We had the opportunity to tour the AT&T Stadium -- home of the Dallas Cowboys. My football loving family thoroughly enjoyed touring the entire stadium, from the gift shop, to the field, to the locker rooms and more! Scroll for more about our experience and to view photos of our tour.
The Dallas Cowboys play in a gigantic stadium called the AT&T Stadium, formerly known as Cowboys Stadium. It was completed in May 2009 and is one of the largest football stadiums in the NFL. If you take the tour, you'll find out so many more details of this stadium so I won't ruin it for you!
We bought our tickets on the AT&T Stadium tour website. The price is pretty high, but I believe it's worth it! The tour is approximately 90 minutes , which I was worried for our kids to last that long. BUT, they were entertained the whole time and really got into it.
Note, this stadium tour offers the opportunity to play on the field/turf after the tour ends. So, bring a football to play catch! Unfortunately, there are times when the field is not available, so if this is very important to your experience check the tour dates to see when the field is unavailable. We knew the field wasn't available for our tour (you can see above they were setting up for a boxing match) so it wasn't a surprise and major disappointment to us. But, we would love to go again when it is open!
We started in the souvenir shop where we were able to shop before and after the tour. We let the boys pick one item with a limit of $20. Even though he loved the hat, it was out of budget so Simon brought home Cowboys socks and Judah picked a Cowboys puzzle.
I think the boys' favorite part was touring the Cowboys Locker Room. I'll admit, it was pretty cool but very different than I expected. The appeal of it is the expensive type of wood they use, but all in all it was pretty bare! We enjoyed reading the names above the lockers but we were not allowed to sit on or touch them.
We then got to see the Cowgirls locker room. Their locker room was bright and fun! There was a professional photo of each of them above their individual lockers. Right now, my boys are too young (thank goodness) to drool over the Cowgirls otherwise I would've been a bit uncomfortable with them in there! haha! But, they are America's Sweethearts!
Above, we are sitting in the special comfy seats that belong to season ticket holders and other elite fans. The seats were legit comfortable -- wider than a normal venue seat. And of course the view was one of the best.
We also stood in Jerry Jones' suite. Our tour guide gave us quite a bit of fun information about Jerry Jones and his suite. Again, I'm not going to ruin it for your here. Take the tour and you'll be in the know! 🙂
We really enjoyed this tour and now want to tour as many NFL stadiums we can as we travel, especially Soldier Field! If you have any questions on how to order tickets or what to expect, drop me a comment below.
