Yep, this is definitely delayed as Simon turns 5 months old next week. Oops! And, this was the best shot I could get of him for his 4 month "photo shoot". π Anyway, we are having the time of our lives with this little man. He is such a good-natured sweet boy. Best yet? He likes to sleep, a lot!
We encountered a battle last week with an ear infection in both ears and a mild case of croup. π He's much better now, though, and even when he was sick he was still smiling away. Happiest baby ever, people. Happiest baby, ever!
He giggles like crazy. Judah does funny little dances in front of Simon all of the time and cracks the kid up. I love the way Simon looks at Judah, like he knows that's his big brother and someone to adore.
At Simon's 4-month appointment, he weighed 16 lb 5 oz and was 26 inches long. That is the 75th percentile for both height and weight.
He is much more into his pacifier and now needs it in order to sleep. He doesn't really need it much while he's awake, though. I'm sure that will change, and I do not mind one bit. Judah had his until he was two, then it was no problem to take it away. Hopefully such is the case this time around! But, he was sucking on those two fingers quite consistently for a while this month! Seems to have died off, though, and now it's his whole fist once again. haha!
When Simon was just a few weeks old, he was very snuggly.Β He would lay on my shoulder all the time when rocking him.Β Now, he doesn't want to be rocked.Β If I even try rocking him in his room at night, he just keeps looking over to his crib like "Mom! I just want to go to bed!"Β So, I'm able to just lay him down and he falls asleep on his own.
I know many of you do not care at all about these baby updates, so please do not feel bad about not reading them. π They are really just for my own personal journaling because I never find the time to actually write in his journal. Plus, this makes it easy for my family and friends to stay up to date. I used to have a family blog, but it is much easier for me to just have it all in one spot. You understand, right? π
